NHRA POINTS LEADER ROD FULLER TO VISIT  ROGERS, AR VALVOLINE INSTANT OIL CHANGE

ROGERS, Ark. (March 31, 2007) – NHRA Top Fuel points leader and longtime Arkansas resident Rod Fuller will return to the Natural State on Thursday, April 5, to meet and great with fans at the Rogers (Ark.) Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) facility. Fuller will appear from 5-7 p.m. at the service center located at 3501 West Walnut in Rogers.

“Rod Fuller has made a name for himself in NHRA drag racing and brought a lot of pride to his hometown,” Rogers VIOC service center owner Mike Hudson said. “Since Valvoline is a longtime sponsor of Fuller, it’s only fitting we host him at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Rogers.”

Fuller, who drives for David Powers Motorsports, currently leads the NHRA Top Fuel standings. He is a 17-time NHRA national event winner in four different categories, Top Fuel, Super Comp, Super Gas and Stock. His most recent victory came on February 25 near Phoenix. He also drove his Rob Flynn-tuned dragster to career-best performances this season, 4.466 seconds and 331.61 mph. He earned both a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Arkansas. Fuller currently resides in Las Vegas.

“It’s always good to go back to Arkansas and visit with family and friends,” Fuller said. “My parents still live there, and I grew up there, so I have a lot of friends in the area. Having been with Valvoline for many years, it’s always great to represent them and I’m excited that Mike Hudson invited me to meet with fans at the VIOC in Rogers.”

As a part Fuller’s appearance at the Rogers VIOC, the service center will offer oil change discounts as well as discount pricing on air conditioning services and three-part fuel system treatments. The 3,000-square-foot service center has six employees and three service bays.

There are more than 790 VIOC franchised or company-owned service centers nationwide. Each offers the highest standard in automotive fluid maintenance services provided with an emphasis on customer service and speed. Lexington, Ky.-based VIOC is a subsidiary of Ashland, Inc. (NYSE: ASH), a Fortune 500 company. For more information, visit www.vioc.com.

Headquartered in Houston with race operations located in Pittsboro, Ind., David Powers Motorsports fields the two-car Top Fuel operation of drivers Whit Bazemore and “Hot” Rod Fuller. DPM proudly represents racing partners Matco Tools, Valvoline, LP Corporation, Toyota, Vintage Design Inc., Goodyear, FRAM, Autolite, and Ringers Gloves.

OCEAN43.COM PARTNERS WITH DAVID POWERS MOTORSPORTS AND ROD FULLER-DRIVEN DRAGSTER

PITTSBORO, Ind. (March 31, 2007) – Ocean43.com, a new secure and private online system to both store documents and connect with friends, family and business associates, has joined David Powers Motorsports as an associate sponsor, team owner David Powers announced today. The Ocean43.com logos will fly on the rear wing of NHRA point’s leader Rod Fuller’s dragster.

Ocean43.com, developed by SBT Marketing, LLC, offers both the private community and data storage on one site in three key sections. “Community” allows O43 members to privately connect with others in several ways such as e-mailing, scheduling calendar events, sharing pictures, documents and movie clips, and adding to the community blog. Only invited guests can be part of a community and can be assigned varying levels of access. “Vaults” allows members to store personal and business documents, such as financial records, pictures, recipes and movie clips. The final section no Ocean43.com is “Contacts,” where members can store personal and business contact information.

"We are excited to be part of a championship caliber team with David Powers, Rod Fuller, Rob Flynn, Lee Beard and Whit Bazemore,” Steven Costello, president of SBT Marketing, said. “We could not think of a better place than being on the rear wing which provides the critical down force to keep the car safe and secure as it barrels down the track at 330 miles per hour because Ocean43 is about providing a safe and secure environment for our users. NHRA fans are known for their brand loyalty and we felt it's a great group to launch with especially with the large Military fan base which O43 is perfect for as family members can tend to be separated for long periods of time. It’s a great way to help them stay connected."

The site was created for three distinct market segments: those who want complete control over who sees their personal and/or business information, those who want to protect their files from computer crashes and viruses, and those who want an online community free of predators.

“We’re proud to introduce Ocean43.com to the NHRA venue,” Powers said. “In this day and age where the internet is a necessity, Ocean43.com is a terrific website for NHRA fans to communicate and store files. Taking pictures and video at the race track is popular with fans and Ocean43.com is a great way to share and store files.”

“I think it’s really cool to have an internet start-up launch in our sport and with our race team,” Fuller said. “I like Ocean43’s approach being a secure website because so many sites aren’t and you really have to be careful on the web. It’s a great product and I think NHRA fans will really like the site.”

The “Basic” O43 membership is $2.50 per month and offers one private Community, unlimited Contacts and one gig of memory space. The Ocean43.com “Club” membership runs $10 per month and offers two Communities, unlimited Vaults, unlimited Contacts and 10 gigs of memory space.

VP RACING GAINS TRACTION WITH SPONSORSHIPS AT MILAN DRAGWAY

MILAN, MI (March 30, 2007) Milan Dragway announced VP Racing Fuels has extended its Official Traction Compound sponsorship as well as its title sponsorship of Milan’s Drag Radial Class for the 2007 season. The Drag Radial Class runs as part of the Skinny Kid Heads Up Race Series, which, according to Chris Baxter, Milan Dragway Race Director, is tremendously popular among racers throughout the upper Midwest. “This success is due in great part to VP’s LC6 traction compound,” Baxter said. “Many top racers throughout the upper Midwest consider our track conditions second to none. They look forward to coming to Milan Dragway because they routinely establish their personal bests here.”

“These are street legal cars weighing more than 3,000 lbs, running 7.80s at 190 mph on street legal tires,” Baxter continued. “Competitors race for pride in this class as much as they run for money or prizes. The competition has been really balanced, with only one repeat winner all last season.”

“We’re thrilled to be a part of the excitement at Milan Dragway,” said Jason Rueckert, VP’s Regional Manager-Midwest. “VP is best known for its fuels, but we apply the same impassioned engineering and precision to the development of our traction adhesives. Our track customers tell us LC6 performs really well over a wider range of temperatures than they’ve ever seen, and is particularly good in extreme heat. In fact, we’ve seen it used in Australia where track records were set with track temperatures reaching 130º!”

Located in Milan, Michigan, the IHRA track is drawing 8,000-12,000 spectators for its monthly Friday night series. “This series has generated more excitement than anything I’ve seen in years,” Baxter added. “We have sponsors who are very actively participating in this one of a kind series.”

Milan Dragway is a quarter mile IHRA sanctioned drag strip based in Milan, MI just south of Ann Arbor off of US 23. It hosts an IHRA National Event (Nitro Jam); Live Nation Street Warriorz event; Super Chevy Show; Nopi Nationals; NMRA and NMCA race, as well as a Speed Pink’s: All Out show in 2007. It boasts a strong Heads Up Race Series, test and tune events as well as a regular Bracket Racing program. The Dragway is open April 7-November 10, 2007.

VP Racing has been manufacturing the best fuels for motorsports since 1975. With more than 60 unique blends, VP has fueled champions in virtually every racing category and class – from drag racing, circle track and road racing, to motocross, off-road, off-shore and even airplane racing.

VP Racing is the Official Racing Fuel of NHRA Championship Drag Racing as well as exclusive fuel supplier and/or sponsor of National Mustang Racing Association (NMRA); National Muscle Car Association (NMCA); Prostar AMA; and All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA), among many others.

In addition to fuels and traction adhesives, VP’s product line includes performance chemicals, specialty lubricants and fuel handling accessories – each designed to produce the most power and best performance in their respective racing applications. More information can be obtained from VP’s website – vpracingfuels.com.

Big Buck Bracket Event Rescheduled
Thursday, 29 March 2007 - Posted by Dean Neal

(Sydney, NSW) The Western Sydney International Dragway team would like to announce that the proposed Easter Saturday 'Big Buck Bracket Attack' has been postponed until Saturday, June 23rd. However, the awesome Good Friday off-street meet and Burnout event is full steam ahead!

All paid-up entries for the Easter Saturday event will carry-over to the June 23 date.

TEAM FORCE CONTINUES TO EVALUATE DATA WON'T COMPETE THIS WEEK

BROWNSBURG, Ind., March 28, 2007 - John Force Racing, Inc., still is evaluating what occurred in the accident that caused the severe closed head injury which resulted in driver Eric Medlen’s death.

The JFR crew chiefs, headed by Eric's father, John Medlen, will be working closely with the NHRA, the PRO and the team’s vendors to evaluate the series of events that caused the tire blow-out and an extreme vibration beyond anything previously recorded in the sport.

“It is our sincere desire to provide a summary of the information taken from this accident to all parties,” said John Medlen. “That is what Eric would have wanted.”

In the near future, JFR will attempt to implement safety measures needed to prevent this type of tragedy from recurring.

Out of respect for the Medlen family and to allow the JFR family the opportunity to grieve its loss, team owner John Force confirmed Wednesday that the team will not compete in this week’s 20th annual O’Reilly Spring Nationals at Houston, Texas.

According to Force, the team felt the need to address changes in the driver cockpit area but hopes to return to competition, April 12-15, in the SummitRacing.com Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Medlen’s death was the first in the NHRA Funny Car division in almost 38 years. The last known NHRA Funny Car fatality was that of Gerry Schwartz, who died in a crash at the NHRA Springnationals in Dallas, Texas, on June 15, 1969.

“We appreciate your continued support and prayers for the Medlen and John Force Racing families,” said JFR spokesperson Kelly Antonelli.

In the team's absence, fans and supporters attending the Houston race can post personal messages on special Eric Medlen posters available at the BP/Castrol display on the Manufacturers Midway. Those posters subsequently will be presented to the family. Race fans also can send their personal rememberances of Eric to the e-mail address goodbyeeric@castrol.com.
