Buy stock in a drag racer with new
program from Enders Racing
HOUSTON (March 5) -- After breaking new ground in the competitive Pro
Stock class for the past two seasons, female racer Erica Enders will now
take the arena of team ownership to a new level by offering stock shares
in herself to the general public. With an emphasis on bringing new fans
to the sport of drag racing, the $49.95 per share stock will be marketed
to the young fans Enders gained as a result of the Disney Channel movie
about her life entitled Right On Track, which to date in the most
watched movie in Disney Channel history with more than 65 million
viewers.
"We're trying to cultivate the next generation of NHRA fans," team
managing partner Gregg Enders said. "I think we're all seeing the next
generation of racers blossom right before our eyes. We're trying to
build the fanbase of preteens and teenagers to secure the future
viability of the sport.
Just like professional football's Green Bay Packers, stock in Erica
Enders will be limited to one share per stockholder and will hold no
voting rights. However, stockholders will receive an official stock
certificate autographed by Enders, be entitled to discount offers from
her corporate partners, have access to Enders Racing pit-side
hospitality during special stockholder meetings, receive a goodie bag of
Team Owner apparel and merchandise, and get other sponsor-related
discount incentives worth more than $500.
"We've seen young girls and boys dragging their parents, who are already
fans of the sport, through the pits so they can meet Erica and many of
the other young stars we have out here," Enders said. "We want to expand
that thought and encourage people that might not even consider coming to
a race to feel like they have a vested interest in what we're doing out
here.
"Those of us in the sport know how powerful it is to get a first-timer
to actually come to the racetrack. Usually once they do, they're hooked
by the excitement, the noise, the speed, the access to racers, and the
overall atmosphere of the event. We can all agree that our growth will
be predicated on increasing the number of first-timers through the
gates. That's what we hope to accomplish with this stock offering."
In just 28 race day starts, the 23-year-old Enders already owns all of
the Pro Stock records attributed to female racers, including number of
elimination rounds won, number of low qualifying efforts, and
final-round appearances. Six months ago, Enders and her father Gregg
assumed ownership of their own team and have retained noted tuner and
engine builder David Nickens as their crew chief.
The initial offering of Erica Enders stock will come with a
personalized, framed and sealed stock certificate autographed by Erica.
Each stockholder will receive special Shareholder's ID card, a hat,
T-shirt and other "Team Owner" branded merchandise not available to the
general public. Other components of the fulfillment kit include NHRA
ticket promotions, a Racing Champions diecast car offer, discounts on
Erica Enders Merchandise, and the ability to purchase a special Erica
Enders-branded Snap On Tools starter kit, among other offers.
Stockholders will also enjoy unprecedented backstage access to Erica for
pictures, one-on-one conversations, and exposure to Enders Racing
personnel for special information about race team activities. |
