Second at Iowa Keeps Wise in Championship Driver's
Seat Team Mopar's Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises duo of Josh Wise
and Levi Jones added to the team's Top-Five and Top-10 finishes
over the weekend in USAC National Sprint Car Series competition at Iowa
Speedway. Wise drove to a second-place finish in the feature event, while
Jones took seventh. The duo also continues to hold first and second place
in the series point championship. Wise leads, followed by Jones in second.
Hoffman Auto Racing's Tracy Hines competed in the event,
bringing home an 11th-place finish. Hines qualified second quick to start
the feature near the front of the field. Darren Hagen also competed
for Team Mopar, taking top qualifier honors before racing to 17th place.
Hagen is currently sixth in the USAC National Sprint Car Series point
standings. Hoffman Auto Racing/Dynamics, Inc. led the USAC National Sprint
Car Series entrant point standings heading into the event.
Team Mopar and the USAC National Sprint Car Series will resume action
on September 22-23 at Eldora Speedway in Ohio for Mopar Thunder at the

Wise, Jones Record Top-10s at Iowa
Team Mopar's Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises and Wilke-PAK Motorsports
teams returned to USAC National Midget Car Series action over the weekend
at Iowa Speedway. Josh Wise and Levi Jones turned in solid
performances, with Wise earning a fifth-place finish and Jones taking
eighth. Wise moved into fourth place in the USAC National Midget Car
Series points chase, with Jones ranked sixth.
Wilke-PAK Motorsports' Tracy Hines and Jerry Coons Jr.,
also posted strong results, as Hines drove to a third-place finish in the
feature. Coons Jr., was able to maintain his series points lead after a
16th-place finish.
Wise, Jones, Hines, Coons Jr., and the rest of the USAC National Midget
Car Series will return to action at Eldora Speedway in Ohio on September
22-23 in the Mopar Thunder @ the USAC 4-Crown Nationals event. For more

standings, to go along with his first-place standing in the USAC National
Sprint Car Series and his fourth-place mark in the USAC National Midget
Car Series championship battle. |
Iowa Stop Sees Wise Maintain Spot in Silver Crown Points
BattleTeam Mopar's Josh Wise competed in the USAC National Silver
Crown Series event at Iowa Speedway on September 16-17, for A.J. Foyt
Racing. Laying down a qualifying lap of 23.203 seconds, Wise earned second
quick qualifying honors to lock himself into the feature. Wise was
credited with a 13th-place finish in the 100-lap event and maintained his
sixth-place standing in the USAC National Silver Crown Series
championship.
Wise will return to action along with teammate Levi Jones for Tony
Stewart Racing Enterprises in the Mopar Thunder @ the USAC 4-Crown
Nationals event on September 22-23 at Eldora Speedway in Ohio. The feature
event will be broadcast on The Outdoor Channel at a later date.

Saldana Takes Second at Jackson SpeedwayJoey Saldana and the No. 9 Kasey Kahne Racing team returned to
World of Outlaws Sprint Series action on September 15-16, wrapping up the
weekend with a second-place A-main finish at Jackson Speedway in Michigan
on Saturday night. Saldana qualified fourth quick and transferred through
the third heat race and dash events to lock himself into the A-main.
Battling throughout the race, Saldana took the checkered flag in second.
The team also earned a 23rd-place finish at Eagle Raceway, in Nebraska, on
Friday and is currently ranked third in the World of Outlaws Sprint Series
point championship.
Paul McMahan and the No. 20 Tony Stewart Motorsports team
battled over the weekend as well, though the opponent was Mother Nature.
Cold temperatures and blowing snow wiped out the National Sprint Tour
Series doubleheader at Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs, Wyoming, on
September 15-16. The event has been rescheduled for mid-August in 2007.
McMahan is currently ranked sixth in the National Sprint Tour Series point
battle.
The World of Outlaws Sprint Series will return to action on September
23-24 at Wilmot Speedway and Kokomo Speedway in the Midwest. The National
Sprint Tour Series will return to action on September 26 at Putnamville

After qualifying in the fourth spot at Jackson Speedway last Saturday,
Joey Saldana stayed near the front and earned a second-place finish on the
night. |

Steve Francis decided to get some seat time during a break from World
of Outlaws Late Model Series action last week, competing in a Lucas Oil
Late Model Dirt Series race at West Virginia Motor Speedway. Francis
finished 16th in the event. |
Francis Competes at West Virginia During WoOLM
BreakSteve Francis and the No. 15 team took advantage of an
off-weekend from the World of Outlaws Late Model Series tour to head to
West Virginia Motor Speedway for a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event
on September 16. Lining up against 45 competitors, Francis transferred
from the first heat race event to lock himself into the feature. Battling
throughout the 75-lap event, Francis took the checkered flag in 16th
place.
Francis is currently ranked sixth in the World of Outlaws Late Model
Series points championship, only 62 points behind series leader Tim
McCreadie. He has earned two victories in World of Outlaws Late Model
Series competition thus far in 2006. The No. 15 team has also picked up 12
Top-five finishes and 21 Top-10 finishes in series competition to date.
Francis and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will return to
action on September 22-23 at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. For
