NASCAR Nextel Cup star Kasey Kahne, owner of Kasey Kahne Racing
(KKR), and a group of Team Mopar drivers including Jerry Coons Jr.
as well as KKR drivers Brady Bacon, Kevin Swindell and
Bryan Clauson, will participate in an autograph session at the 21st
annual Chili Bowl Midget Nationals this Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, from 2 p.m.
to 2:45 p.m.
Kahne, recently named team owner for Mopar's factory-backed efforts in
the USAC National Sprint & Midget Car Series and the World of Outlaws
Sprint Series, will sign autographs for the first 150 people at the
Oklahoma Dodge Dealers Booth in the Tulsa Expo Center. He will be joined
at the signing session by seven of the more than 20 drivers who will
compete at the 2007 Chili Bowl with Mopar power.
Scheduled to join Kahne at the signing session are Jerry Coons
Jr., the 2006 USAC National Midget Car champion, who, like Kahne, will
drive for Wilke-PAK Motorsports at the Chili Bowl; Kevin Swindell,
one of Kahne's newly signed KKR drivers, who will drive for Swindell
Motorsports; and 16-year-old Brady Bacon, another of the "Young
Guns" in the Team Mopar KKR roster. The 17-year-old KKR driver Bryan
Clauson will be on hand to greet fans and sign autographs as well.
Josh Wise, who claimed the 2006 USAC National Sprint Car title
for Team Mopar, will also take part in the session, as will multiple USAC
National champ Dave Darland. Both will drive Mopar-powered midget
cars for Wilke-PAK Motorsports during the Chili Bowl. Sammy
Swindell, three-time World of Outlaws Sprint Series champion, owner of
Swindell Motorsports and father of KKR's Kevin Swindell will also
participate in the signing.
