Team Mopar and Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises driver Josh Wise is
fifth in the USAC National Midget Car Series points race after his
seventh-place finish at Angell Park Speedway on Saturday.

Wise Jones Grab Top Tens Durst Scores Win at Angell
Park Team Mopar's USAC National Midget Car Series contingent picked up a
victory at Angell Park Speedway on August 26, as Ryan Durst in the
Kasey Kahne owned Curb/Lamers Motorsports' No. 191 entry earned his first
series victory. Durst won the second heat race and took the lead on lap 14
of the 30-lap feature event en route to taking the win. Scott
Hatton was second, competing with Gary Stanton-built Mopar power.
Tony Stewart Racing Enterprises' Josh Wise turned in a
seventh-place feature finish to maintain his fifth-place ranking in the
series' points chase. Teammate Levi Jones wrapped up the night with
a sixth-place finish in the semi-feature event and came away from the
weekend still ranked sixth in the USAC National Midget Car Series points
championship.
Wilke-PAK Motorsports' Jerry Coons Jr., was credited with a
22nd-place finish in the feature event, after a flat tire ended his night
prematurely. Coons Jr., continues to lead the series' point championship.
Brad Kuhn took 11th in the feature event and maintained his seventh-place
ranking in the series' championship battle.
The USAC National Midget Car Series will resume action on September 9
at the Terre Haute Action Track. For more information regarding the

Grays Harbor Action Sees McMahan Secure Two Top Five Finishes
Paul McMahan and the No. 20 Tony Stewart Motorsports team found
the groove they've been looking for over the weekend, as the team earned
two fourth-place finishes in National Sprint Tour Series action at Grays
Harbor Speedway on August 25-26. McMahan won the second dash event en
route to a solid fourth in the preliminary A-main event on Friday night.
The second night of the Grays Harbor Speedway event saw the No. 20 team
qualify well and cap the night with fourth in the A-main feature event
finale. The team will move on to Cottage Grove Speedway on August 29.
Joey Saldana and the No. 9 Kasey Kahne Racing team also competed
over the weekend, as the World of Outlaws Sprint Series moved into Skagit
Speedway. Saldana set second quick time and earned a 22nd-place finish in
Friday's preliminary A-main. The No. 9 team recovered quickly and posted
fast time on Saturday to pace the field. Saldana drove to a sixth-place
finish in the A-main event finale.
Saldana and the No. 9 team are currently second in the World of Outlaws
Sprint Series points championship, only 294 points out of first place. The
series moves on to Southern Oregon Speedway on August 30 and wraps up the
holiday weekend with a two-day event at Calistoga Speedway on September
2-3.

Steve Francis grabbed the pole in World of Outlaws Late Model Series
action at Columbus Speedway on Saturday. Francis is fifth in points, only
64 points out of first. |
'Kentucky Colonel' Earns Pole at ColumbusSteve Francis and the No. 15 Steve Francis Racing team kicked
off the World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Columbus Speedway on
August 26 in high-flying fashion, as Francis earned fast qualifier honors
for the night. The No. 15 transferred from the first heat race event to
lock themselves into the night's feature. Francis, the "Kentucky Colonel,"
was credited with a 21st-place finish for the night.
Heading into Tri-City Speedway on September 2-3, Francis is ranked
fifth in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series points championship. He is
only 64 points behind series leader Tim McCreadie. Thus far in World of
Outlaws Late Model Series competition this season, Francis has earned two
victories, 11 Top-five finishes and 19 Top-10 finishes.
