EPPING, NH (September 10, 2006)
– Carl Spiering’s day ended with a first round loss in the
final day of eliminations Sunday at the
International
Hot Rod (IHRA) eMax Drag Racing Series Amalie Oil North American Nationals at
New England Dragway in Epping, New Hampshire.
Spiering was
eliminated from Pro Modified action by Danny Rowe from Rossville, GA in a 1963
Corvette.
“We are pleased how
well we continue to qualify at each of the races, and like many others in the
first round we misjudged how good the race track was,” explained Spiering, from
Jordan Station, Ontario. “I’m continuing to work on my
starting line technique but lady luck has just not been our
side.”
The 41-year-old Spiering drove the Carl Spiering
Motorsports Eaton Electrical Pro Modified Chevrolet Camaro to third position in
Torco Race Fuels CompetitionPlus Pro
Modified qualifying and continues to lead the Torco Race Fuels Pro
Modified Shootout Point Standings.

“The Eaton Road Warrior is
continuing its way east to Miramichi Dragway Park
in Bellefond,
New Brunswick as part of the
Ultimate Power trip in Atlantic Canada,” Spiering added. “When we finish the
eastern tour we will run at home in Cayuga for the rain delayed IHRA Canadian
Nationals.”
The next
International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) eMax Drag Racing Series event of the
season the Fifth Annual Canadian Nationals will take place September 22-24 at
Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario.
