Connolly Winds Up 10th as Rain
Washes Out Qualifying at Houston
BAYTOWN, Texas, March 31, 2007 – Bravo! Brands Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:
BRVO): A severe thunderstorm Saturday and all day rain prevented Dave
Connolly
and the TORCO Slammers Ultimate Milk Chevrolet Cobalt Pro Stock team
from
making two qualifying runs for Sunday’s O’Reilly Spring Nationals at
Houston
Raceway Park.
Connolly had hoped to get the track time because a new motor replaced
the
one that was hurt on Friday’s last qualifying run and he wanted to
improve on
his No. 10 position (6.699 seconds at 205.85 mph). That puts him against
V.
Gaines in the first round.
“My new motor is the same one that was in (teammate) Jeg’s (Coughlin)
Slammers Ultimate Milk car in Gainesville,” Connolly said. “And he ran
well
there. I feel pretty confident. We have a good setup. Now we just want
to go
out and run good in eliminations.”
